The role of the Parts Procurement and Receiving Specialist at the Chehalis branch encompasses the entire parts supply chain, beginning with the technician's request and culminating in the reconciliation of invoices. This position serves as the sole point of accountability for transforming technician demands into actionable purchase orders. The specialist is responsible for expediting these orders through various vendor portals, ensuring that materials are physically received and properly staged, and ultimately reconciling vendor invoices within the Point of Rental system. This comprehensive oversight is crucial for maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring that all parts are available when needed.

The availability of parts is a critical factor that directly impacts service throughput and the operational uptime of the rental fleet. Each hour that a unit remains idle due to a lack of necessary parts translates into lost rental revenue and unproductive technician labor. The Parts Procurement and Receiving Specialist plays a pivotal role in mitigating this constraint, as their effectiveness is measured by key performance indicators such as cycle time, fill rate, and the accuracy of financial records, rather than merely the volume of transactions processed. This focus on efficiency and accountability underscores the importance of the position in driving the overall success of the branch.

Requirements

Three or more years in a parts, purchasing, procurement, or warehouse receiving role in heavy equipment, construction equipment, mining, agriculture, truck, or industrial distribution.

▪ Demonstrated ability to read and interpret parts diagrams, exploded views, hydraulic and electrical schematics, and serial-number-driven parts catalogs.

▪ Working proficiency with a business ERP or dealer management system for purchase orders, receiving, and inventory transactions.

▪ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and comfort learning vendor web portals independently.

▪ Demonstrated accuracy under interruption. This role is interrupt-driven and errors are expensive.

▪ Valid driver license and an insurable driving record.

▪ Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.

▪ High school diploma or equivalent.

Direct experience with construction and rock processing parts: undercarriage, ground engaging tools, hydraulic cylinders and pumps, final drives, crusher wear parts including jaw dies, blow bars, cone liners and screen media, conveyor components, and drill consumables including drill steel, bits, shanks, and couplings.

▪ Experience with Point of Rental, or with a comparable rental or dealer ERP such as Wynne, Texada, or DIS.

▪ Experience with OEM parts portals, warranty claim submission, and core return administration.

▪ Familiarity with underground mining equipment and rebuild programs.

▪ Experience managing freight to remote or barge-served locations.

▪ Working knowledge of DOT hazardous material shipping requirements under 49 CFR.

Benefits

Hourly range of $32.00 to $36.00 depending on directly relevant experience, systems proficiency, and demonstrated parts knowledge. Overtime is paid at one and one half times the regular rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek in accordance with Washington law.
