$500.00 SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2,000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION The responsibilities of the Employment Specialist are to develop, implement, monitor and maintain career opportunities for clients including job skills training, career development/placement career retention and advancement services. Case management or knowledge of SMI or GMHSU services preferred. Knowledge of AHCCCS funding, Vocational Rehab services and integrated employment. Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team-orientated environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance. QUALIFICATIONS Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel. Exceptional organizational skills a must. Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and working with persons with disabilities; OR Associate's Degree and two years full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to social work and two years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and four years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities.
