Utilize SAP's official sizing questionnaire to determine appropriate hardware specifications (CPU, RAM, disk) Collaborate with SAP consultants for complex or large-scale optimization models Ensure hardware meets requirements for Windows-based SCM Optimizer Server deployments SAP Basis Server Optimization: Perform regular database maintenance including defragmentation and SQL query optimization Configure SAP Message Server for efficient request distribution and load balancing Implement caching strategies to improve data access and reduce database load Optimize network performance including DNS response times and traffic management Monitor and tune system parameters (memory, processes, network) for sustained performance Infrastructure Management: Consolidate physical hardware or implement virtualization to improve resource utilization Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations are in place Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor SCM server performance metrics Provide recommendations and implement tuning adjustments based on system behavior Requirements 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with a focus on SCM systems Strong understanding of SAP SCM Optimizer Server architecture and sizing methodologies Experience with database optimization and server virtualization Familiarity with SAP Message Server configuration and load balancing techniques Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION LLC is an equal opportunity employer inclusive of female, minority, disability and veterans, (M/F/D/V).
