Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients to make them feel special and comfortable
• Assist patient with and review all paperwork including medical and dental histories
• Chairside assisting of general dentistry procedures and Invisalign including set up for specific procedures and turnover treatment rooms
• Explain dental procedures, informed consent, and postoperative instructions as well as present treatment plans with confidence
• Take detailed notes and type them into patient record
• Careful use of CEREC scanner and mill to take impressions and fabricate crowns
• Ability to do child prophies, sealants, take impressions/intraoral scans, and complete crown try-ins for delivery independently. Experience with CEREC crown design and fabrication, Invisalign attachment placement, and dental implant scans and deliveries strongly preferred.
• Ensure smooth operation of entire clinic - assisting doctors, hygienists and front desk team as scheduled and in any other capacity when needed
• Ensure instruments are appropriately sterilized and distributed throughout the day
• Manage incoming and outgoing lab cases
• Understand and follow all OSHA and HIPAA standards and regulations
• Contribute to the cheerful, upbeat atmosphere of our office

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma
• 1 Year Dental Assisting experience required
• X-Ray and CPR certified
• Computer skills, including experience with Dentrix preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Spanish language would be helpful but not necessary
