AUM Associate Director - AUM Operations & Data Transformation

In this Role you required to do:

• Lead end-to-end Assets Under Management (AUM) reporting across public and private market investment vehicles.
• Manage AUM roll-forward processes including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, market movements, FX impacts, distributions, and capital activity.
• Oversee Capital Raise reporting, investor flow analytics, and revenue reporting processes.
• Drive Revenue-to-AUM reconciliation ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across reporting platforms.
• Lead migration of AUM reporting from legacy spreadsheets and disparate reporting tools to an enterprise Data Lakehouse platform.
• Define and implement target-state operating models for AUM data management, reporting governance, and reporting certification.
• Establish enterprise-wide data governance, lineage, quality, and auditability frameworks.
• Govern master and reference data including Fund Master, Security Master, Investment Vehicle Hierarchy, Legal Entity Structures, Client Hierarchies, and Benchmark Mapping.
• Ensure consistency of Investment Vehicle and Fund codes across all upstream and downstream systems.
• Drive integration of Accounting Book of Record (ABOR), Investment Book of Record (IBOR), ERP platforms, Market Data, and Data Lakehouse environments.
• Build a unified reporting framework across Finance, Investment Operations, Distribution, and Technology functions.
• Partner with Technology and Data Engineering teams to automate month-end, quarter-end, and management reporting processes.
• Establish reporting controls, governance frameworks, KPI dashboards, SLA monitoring, and data certification standards.
• Lead strategic transformation programs, governance forums, steering committees, and executive stakeholder reviews.
• Manage cross-functional teams and drive change management, process optimization, and user adoption initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and operational excellence.
• Ensure reporting processes comply with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.
• Adhere to all established governance, risk, reporting, and operational procedures.

Job Requirements & Eligibility Criteria:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Asset Management, Investment Operations, Fund Administration, Financial Services, or Capital Markets.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience leading Data Transformation, ERP Modernization, Reporting Automation, or Enterprise Data Management initiatives.
• Must have strong hands-on experience in Assets Under Management (AUM), Capital Raise, Revenue Reporting, and Investment Operations.
• Strong knowledge of AUM roll-forward processes including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, distributions, fund flows, and market value changes.
• Mandatory understanding of Accounting Book of Record (ABOR) and Investment Book of Record (IBOR).
• Experience working with both Public Market and Private Market investment products.
• Proven experience managing Master Data, Reference Data, and Data Governance programs.
• Strong exposure to Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Reporting Platforms, and Modern Data Architecture solutions.
• Experience driving migration from spreadsheet-based/manual reporting processes to automated enterprise reporting platforms.
• Must have experience partnering with Finance, Fund Accounting, Distribution, Investment Operations, Product, Technology, and Data Management teams.
• Proven stakeholder management experience with senior leadership and global business teams.
• Strong understanding of Revenue-to-AUM linkage, reporting controls, certification frameworks, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience leading large-scale business transformation programs with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• MBA, CA, CFA, CPA, FRM, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, governance, and project management capabilities.
• Ability to work from Mumbai office and support business hours from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST.
• Ability to communicate effectively with global stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
