Job Summary

This position involves operating a computer-based laser machining work center. The primary responsibility is to laser process components by following instructions provided in drawings, written, or verbal directions. The role requires familiarity with procedures and is supported by direct supervision. Emphasis is placed on the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium to high complexity tasks related to customer-specific process requirements, ensuring comprehension of documentation requirements.
• Verify system conditions or equipment status before operation and adjust system settings within established guidelines.
• Inspect components to ensure specifications are met.
• Enter data and report issues as required.
• Take responsibility for all required process documentation as directed.
• Train other employees on production processes or equipment usage as requested by the Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow instructions from the Supervisor and/or Production Manager and conduct all work according to company policy and safe labor practices.
• Use laser radiation (non-ionizing) sources safely, considering various wavelengths of laser light in personal protection policies.
• Maintain professional conduct and a high standard of job performance.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or completion of primary school in Costa Rica.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment, preferably utilizing computer-aided machinery or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to follow detailed technical processes using mechanical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated inspection equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems, particularly in medical device manufacturing.
• Experience in using optical inspection equipment, such as magnifiers, microscopes, and/or measuring capacity equipment.

This position is based in Hudson, WI, a city known for its vibrant community and scenic views along the St. Croix River. Hudson offers a blend of small-town charm with easy access to the amenities of the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
