About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Faculty Development to provide strategic leadership and support in advancing faculty excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and management of the vision, mission, and activities of the faculty development institutes, as well as collaborating with academic leaders and faculty to identify and address development needs. This role involves leading institution-wide initiatives that promote academic innovation, curricular transformation, and the adoption of evolving educational models. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and scholarly engagement, and will serve as a central resource for faculty in all career stages. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Doctorate in Education or a closely related field, with at least 10 years of higher education instructional experience. In-depth knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional approaches, and assessment techniques is essential, as is the ability to design and implement comprehensive faculty development programs. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in faculty development, including experience in delivering training in various formats and proficiency with educational technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational practices within health sciences and be familiar with accreditation requirements related to faculty development. Business competencies such as collaboration, resilience, and a focus on customer-centric solutions are also key for this leadership position.
