Exciting Opportunity in the Cardiac Cath Lab!

Job Description:


- Shift : 10-hour Days; rotating weekends
- Unit : Cardiac Cath Lab
- *Overview*: Join a dynamic team in our advanced Cardiac Cath Lab with five specialized suites dedicated to:
- Coronary Cases
- Peripheral Cases
- Vascular & Neuro Cases
- Electrophysiology (EP) Cases
- *Cases per Day*: Handle between 10 to 22 cases daily, providing crucial care to patients.


- Essential Skills :
- Strong fundamental knowledge of cardiac care
- Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation
- Proficient in procedural processes and airway management
- Experience with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressins
- Knowledge of balloon pumps


- Team Dynamics :
- Work collaboratively with 2 techs per case (1 that scrubs and 1 that monitors hemodynamics)
- May occasionally involve a 4th person, either an RN or a tech
- Lead Tech in charge of room assignments to ensure seamless operations


- Certifications Required :
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be through AHA)
- NIHSS certification

- Licensure :
- Valid California RN License is required

- Technology :
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems:
- Cath lab documentation using Merge
- Hospital system using Cerner


- Hours/Shifts :
- Work schedule: 4x10s, with start times between 0630 and 0730
- Weekend call required for inpatient cases, urgent, and emergent situations

- Scrubs : Provided by the Hospital
- Floating : Not required


- Cancellation Policy :
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, while assignments less than 13 weeks allow for 3 cancellations
