Duties/Responsibilities: (Essential functions)

Operations
Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility. Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner. Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules. Plan long-range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management. Make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve operations.
Layout
Develop a space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost and service standards. Monitor the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards. Develop and implement an effective product locator system and update, as necessary.
Labor Management
Direct the operations of the warehouse supervisory personnel to achieve prescribed objectives. Develop and maintain a productive work team by creating programs for hiring, training, and professional development. Match the skill and background of personnel to the work required. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel, and discipline subordinates.
Shipping/Receiving
Assure that customer orders are picked up and shipped in a timely fashion within prescribed cost levels. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and ensures receiving paperwork is processed accurately and promptly.
Budgeting/ Reporting
Participate in the preparation of budgets, revenue analysis, and account analyses. Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution, and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations.

- Implementation of safety, security, housekeeping, and sanitation programs.

- Customer Service.
- Deal with quality issues in an efficient manner.
- Provides detailed analysis of defects.
- Initiates action to prevent and stop the production of non-conforming products.
- Recommend improvements for plant processes, equipment, and facilities, which would improve the overall product quality.
- Issue Quality Alerts and Bulletins to appropriate departments, when necessary.
- Takes action to quarantine suspect material/product.
- Protects and communicates the customers’ quality standards.
- Acts as Customer Service Representative for quality and performs problem-solving and corrective action analysis reporting.
- Protects and communicates the customers’ quality standards.
- Regularly reports on the performance of the quality system for management review.
- Assists with audits.
- Submits budgetary information to track and control expenditures.
- Ensures the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property.
- Ensures continuous improvement of Philosophy.
- Responsible for day-to-day quality decisions regarding products on the floor.
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance of failure mode and effect analysis.

Qualification Requirements/Education/Skills/Abilities:
- College Degree Preferred.
- 3-5 years’ direct experience in a similar position.
- Experience in warehousing management and broad knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary.
- A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning.
- Must work safely and adhere to all company and customer safety policies and procedures and comply with necessary PPE as required.
- Must have regular and predictable attendance.
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
- Must have a good working relationship with team members of all levels.
- Must possess a positive teamwork attitude and get along well with others.

Working conditions are normal for a production-based manufacturing environment and/or logistics/distribution center/warehouse environment, including exposure to changing building temperatures and noise exposure. Work may or may not include operating material handling equipment depending on your role, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing.
