Diesel Mechanic Location: Frierson, LA - Job Type: Full-Time CNC Oilfield Services is a leading oil and gas service company, providing reliable transportation solutions to the industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. If you have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a professional attitude, we want to hear from you! Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities Running diagnostic tests on vehicles Analyzing diagnostic test results Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems Inspecting vehicle lighting systems Test driving vehicles to gauge performance Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks Conducts safety checks on vehicles Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist Maintaining a parts inventory Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop, work area and equipment MUST be willing to work a callout schedule Diesel Mechanic Skills & Qualifications Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering ASE Diesel Certification advantageous Valid Chauffeur’s driver's license, CDL preferred Must have reliable transportation Air Brakes Certification Air Conditioning Certification Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components Knowledge of electrical system Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather Must have own tools Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools Attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills Good interpersonal skills Effectively communicates with co-workers in a positive manner Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures Excellent verbal communication skills Good organization skills Why Join Us?
