About the role

You lead field execution for complex cast-in-place concrete work—bringing plans to life safely, on time, and within budget. From the first pre-construction conversation to the final cure, you coordinate people, equipment, and materials while upholding quality and compliance standards.

Sunrise finds you reviewing the day’s pour sequence, confirming mix designs, checking formwork, and aligning crews and subcontractors. You brief the team on safety, verify embeds and reinforcement, and coordinate pumps, placing crews, and finishers. As work progresses, you inspect workmanship, monitor productivity, and troubleshoot conflicts in the field. You keep schedules moving, document progress and safety, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, owners, and inspectors. By day’s end, you’ve recorded labor, equipment, and quantities, updated look-ahead schedules, and coached foremen to elevate performance.

• Oversee day-to-day concrete construction, including foundations, slabs (on grade and elevated), walls, columns, pavements, and structural elements.
• Organize crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to meet milestones and maintain the master schedule.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents to ensure precise execution.
• Lead pre-construction planning and actively participate in project and coordination meetings.
• Track productivity and implement corrective measures when performance drifts.
• Enforce OSHA requirements, company policies, and site-specific safety protocols.
• Conduct site walks and quality checks to verify rebar placement, forms, tolerances, and material standards.
• Direct placement operations: formwork, reinforcing, embeds/inserts, finishing, and curing activities.
• Identify and resolve design/field conflicts, sequencing issues, and delays.
• Record labor hours, equipment utilization, and production quantities.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, owners, and third-party inspectors.
• Keep accurate daily reports, short-interval schedules, and safety documentation.
• Mentor foremen and field personnel to build capability and leadership.

• High school diploma or GED (degree in construction management or related field preferred).
• 5–10+ years in concrete construction with proven supervisory experience.
• Expertise in forming systems, reinforcing steel, placement techniques, and finishing methods.
• Proficiency reading plans, specs, and schedules.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and industry best practices.
• Comfort with construction management platforms, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

• Background managing large commercial, industrial, civil, or multi-family concrete projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Experience with Lean Construction and advanced scheduling software.

• Work in outdoor environments across varying weather conditions.
• Navigate uneven terrain; climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
