Maintenance Technician

Company Description Salem-Republic Rubber Company is a custom manufacturer of engineered industrial hose, calendered rubber products, and tank linings serving OEM, replacement, and specialty markets. Salem-Republic also produces tank linings in various thicknesses from 1/8" to 1/2" and widths from 37" to 56". Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, Union, on-site role based at the Salem-Republic Rubber Company facility in Sebring, OH. This role is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment used in the production of hose, calendered rubber products, and tank linings. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting machinery, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out repairs, and completing scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Technician will monitor equipment performance, respond to maintenance requests from production teams, and document work performed in maintenance records. This role collaborates closely with operations personnel to support safe, efficient manufacturing processes and adheres to all safety and quality standards. Candidates with experience Troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues is an edge Candidates who possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to plan and complete routine inspections and servicing will be recognized. Experience working with industrial machinery, rubber processing equipment, or similar manufacturing operations is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, with strong attention to detail and safety. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team of different departments.
