Nurse Practitioner

Job Description:Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our campus healthcare team. The position provides high quality preventive healthcare services, including treatment of illnesses/injuries, preventive care, and health education using evidence-based clinical decision making and a holistic approach. This is a part-time position with a 90% schedule. Work hours are Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm: August – May with July coverage based on business need. Availability after hours and/or weekends is required for unexpected critical items related to diagnostic testing.Responsibilities:Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic illnessPrescribe medications and treatments as clinically indicatedConduct physical examinations and maintain accurate medical recordsAssess injuries and provide appropriate treatment/referralsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, etc.)Deliver health education through multiple platforms and venues, but primarily during office visitsCollaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team, including medical, mental health, case managers, nutrition, accessibility resources, and athletic professionalsParticipate in continuing professional educationFollow established protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare regulationsPerform additional duties as assignedEducation & Experience:Master’s degree plus New York State certification as a Nurse PractitionerMinimum 3 years primary care/urgent care experience.
