Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Job Summary:
The Wound Ostomy Care Nurse provides specialized nursing care for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and related conditions. They support patient recovery through expert assessments and interventions, ensuring optimal wound management.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' wound and ostomy conditions to develop individualized care plans.
• Implement advanced wound care techniques, including wound vacs and ostomy management.
• Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy management, and self-care practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and discharge planning.
• Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Stay current with WOC nursing standards and certifications to ensure best practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current WOC certification.
• Demonstrated experience in wound and ostomy care nursing.
• Proficient in managing wound vacs and ostomy supplies.
• Ability to work flexible day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
• Knowledge of infection control and wound care protocols.
