Speech Language Pathologist

Caretree Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating residents with communication and swallowing disorders. This position requires regular travel, with split responsibilities across 3 area facilities in the Greater Buffalo area. Responsibilities: Conduct resident assessments to evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Educate residents and their families on communication strategies and techniques Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology Requirements: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and neurology related to speech, language, and swallowing disorders Experience working in sub-acute/ acute care settings, Experience with effective strategies in dementia care Strong case management skills to effectively coordinate patient care Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dedication to providing high-quality patient care Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and requirements.
