Midwest Mechanical Solutions mission statement: Creating lifelong relationships & projects we can be proud of through creatively applied HVAC solutionsThe Project Accountant is accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments collected.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Create or approve all project-related billings to customers. Input customer billings in Intacct and AribaCreate project accounts in the accounting system.Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders.Coordinate with Project Team to reflect changes in project scope or timeline.Complete all postings, allocations, and accruals for projects.Review and approve supplier invoices related to specific projects.Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management.Confer with receivables staff regarding unpaid contract billings.Report on project profitability to management.Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects.Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers.Respond to requests for more detail from customers.Close out project accounts upon project completion.Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations; however, such duties will be reasonable, job-related, and consistent with the scope, level, and classification of the position.
