Faculty Physician - Body Imaging Radiologist (Academic/Clinician Track)

About the Job The Department of Radiology of the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a full-time radiologist. Primary job duties will include interpreting diagnostic imaging in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis at a quaternary care center which serves both inpatients and outpatients. Completion of a fellowship specializing in abdominal or chest imaging is strongly preferred. A desire to provide high quality clinical care is the chief requirement. Both clinically focused and academic track applicants will be considered. Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. An interest in research is encouraged and there are substantial departmental and institutional resources for research activities, though there is not a research requirement for this position. Minimum Requirements M.D or equivalent degree Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota Board certified or board eligible status Completion of ACGME accredited radiology training For academic track applicants: evidence of scholarship in research or education Pay and Benefits This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
