Job Summary

Health Source Group is seeking a School Psychologist to provide coverage for. – Health Source Group is seeking a School Psychologist to provide coverage at an elementary school in Pelham, NY .

This is a full-time assignment beginning at the end of October. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary school students and be comfortable collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and other members of the student support team.

The School Psychologist will provide psychological services and support to students while helping promote their academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide psychological services and support to students in an elementary school setting.
• Conduct psychological and educational assessments as appropriate.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, parents, and other school professionals.
• Provide individual and/or group counselling and behavioural support when appropriate.
• Assist in identifying students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide recommendations based on assessment and observation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
• Provide consultation to teachers and school staff regarding student needs and interventions.
• Support positive behavioural and social-emotional development within the school environment.
• Follow all applicable school district policies, professional standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, educators, and school administration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
• Valid New York State School Psychologist certification/license, as applicable.
• Elementary school experience preferred.
• Previous experience providing psychological services in a school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development, assessment, and educational psychology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and professional standards.
• Required background/fingerprinting and health documentation as applicable to the school district.
