One of NYC’s fastest-growing start-ups is hiring a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus.

The product is already running at serious scale, with billions of interactions and a client base that keeps growing. They have major investment behind them. Now they need engineers who want ownership from day one, not a ticket queue.

What you’ll actually be doing

• Owning backend systems end to end. You’ll design, build and ship services in TypeScript and PostgreSQL that handle real traffic at real scale.
• Solving scale problems. At billions of interactions, query performance, data modeling and system design have a direct effect on the business.
• Shipping across the stack. You’ll lean backend but go wherever the problem is, working closely with product and commercial teams
• Shaping how things are built. You’ll have a say in architecture, tooling and engineering culture.
• Going from idea to production. You’ll take work from first sketch to live deployment, and own it once it’s out there.

You’ll probably recognize yourself here

• You have 1–5 years of software engineering experience and you’ve built backend applications that real people use
• You’re strong in TypeScript and PostgreSQL, with solid fundamentals and a good grasp of OOP
• You build things for fun: side projects, shipped apps, hackathons, early-stage internships
• You learn fast, spot problems before anyone asks, and come with a fix rather than a question
• You want the pace, responsibility and steep learning curve that only an early-stage company gives you
• A CS or Software Engineering degree (or similar) is a plus, but what you’ve built matters more

Location

Manhattan , NYC (Financial District). This is a full-time, on-site role working in the office, 5 days per week. Not based in New York? No worries — all expenses will be covered for interviews and meetings, and you'll be well supported by the team throughout your move to New York.

The Money

$130,000 – $200,000 + Bonus + Equity
