Lead a team of pharmacists in a specialized animal health compounding pharmacy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant compounded preparations. This full-time onsite role offers an opportunity to drive operational excellence, maintain rigorous quality standards, and foster continuous improvement within a dynamic pharmacy environment.
Location:
- Bakersfield, CA
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–5:15 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of pharmacists, setting clear productivity and quality goals
- Manage daily compounding operations and workflow to meet production targets
- Ensure compliance with USP standards, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
- Maintain accurate training documentation and enforce proper compounding protocols
- Assist in selecting appropriate drugs for dispensing and compounding
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and formulations, collaborating with pharmacy leadership and other departments
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to company policies and all regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy team management experience in a lab setting
- 2-5 years of hands-on compounding experience
- In-depth knowledge of USP chapters <795> , <797> , <825> , State Board guidelines, and 503A regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
