Education Coordinator (Part‑Time, Non‑Exempt) Location: 13301 41st Rd., Flushing, NY 11355 Salary Range: $35 per hour About Us Founded in 1876, The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY) is a youth development organization that empowers boys and young men, ages 7 to 21, through evidence‑based programs that address their social, emotional, health, creative, educational, and vocational needs. Job Summary Under the direction of the Education Director, the Education Coordinator designs and delivers programming for Homework Help, High School Access, College Access, and other academic initiatives. The coordinator plans lessons, secures materials, and collaborates with the Education Director to support student success. Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise the Homework Help Study Hall program and assist with other programs as needed. Observe and track members’ progress and attendance through diagnostics, tutoring summaries, and regular reporting. Engage boys directly through tutoring, small‑group academic clubs, and other programs. Assist in program development and evaluation, workshops, and community outreach. Reinforce positive student behavior, enforce clubhouse rules, and address member behavior challenges. Maintain and organize the Library and Learning Center. Prepare lesson materials and curriculum, making copies as needed. Attend clubhouse and Education Department meetings. Communicate regularly with the Education Director to share progress, concerns, and needs. Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree with a focus in education or a relevant field. At least 2 years of experience as a tutor or classroom teacher. Experience working with students ages 6–18. Knowledge of NYC school standards preferred. Proficiency in core subjects: math, English, science, and history. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and address the varying needs of the boys. What We Offer PTO: Sick time only.
