Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies for clients, ensuring each treatment aligns with their specific needs and circumstances.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to various client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
• Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring confidentiality and the integrity of client information.
• Engage in collaborative treatment planning with an interdisciplinary team, contributing insights and developing comprehensive care strategies to enhance client outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, attending workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of new research and methodologies in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve clients who often experience barriers to accessing quality mental health care. This may include individuals and families facing economic hardships, trauma, substance misuse issues, or other mental health disorders. By addressing these needs, you will play a crucial role in promoting wellness and resilience within the community, helping clients rebuild their lives and establish healthy coping strategies.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing clinical practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport and trust with diverse client populations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team environment.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software and related technologies, ensuring efficient documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in specialized areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma recovery, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.
• Previous work in community health settings or with similar populations would be advantageous.

• This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, based on experience and caseload availability.
