Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ mental health needs and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations and in collaboration with clients.
• Provide evidence-based counseling and therapy services in both individual and group settings tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including progress notes and treatment outcomes, in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Coordinate care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to ensure holistic support for clients.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain a high standard of professional conduct at all times.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and peer consultations to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an LPC at Path Finder Counseling Services, you will work with a varied clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our approach emphasizes strength-based and culturally competent practices, ensuring that all clients receive personalized care that respects their individual backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a solid understanding of clinical practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and facilitate therapeutic relationships effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage client caseloads, documentation, and follow-up procedures efficiently.
• Proven ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with specific populations, such as children, families, or individuals recovering from substance use.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• An understanding of and sensitivity to the cultural factors that influence mental health treatment and client experiences.

Compensation and Benefits

Path Finder Counseling Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off to support your work-life balance.
