Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mountain Springs Wellness, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient intakes to perform diagnostic and functional evaluations.
• Providing brief intervention strategies for clients in need of immediate mental health support, fostering their emotional and psychological growth.
• Collaborating with primary care providers to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and recommendations.
• Continuously monitoring patient progress, initiating follow-ups to adapt treatment strategies as necessary.
• Implementing relapse prevention strategies to empower clients in maintaining their mental health and preventing recurrence of issues.
• Identifying at-risk patients and proactively creating plans to address their specific needs.
• Linking clients with additional resources, including external treatment providers, to ensure comprehensive support.
• Documenting patient progress and treatment interventions in accordance with regulatory and agency guidelines.
• Providing consultations to clinic management about behavioral health services and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assisting patients in adhering to medical treatments advised by primary care providers, particularly regarding coping with side effects of medications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate should be adept at working with a diverse patient population, addressing various mental health challenges across age groups. You will engage with clients who may be experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and more, tailoring your interventions to ensure they resonate with the individual experiences and cultural contexts of each client.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• A current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License in Texas.
• Solid understanding of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic modalities, including family and group therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapy approaches.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate patient needs and the effectiveness of care provided.

Preferred Experience

While the aforementioned qualifications are essential, the following experiences are highly desirable:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with a broader client base.
• Previous experience in outpatient counseling settings, particularly within an integrated healthcare model.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote counseling best practices.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range between USD $87,000 and $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a rewarding compensation package, we also provide a SIGN-ON BONUS to welcome new team members.
