Telehealth Counselor - Fully Flexible & Remote

Myers Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our compassionate and dynamic team. In this full-time remote role, you will engage in therapeutic counseling primarily through digital platforms, while also having the opportunity to meet patients in our outpatient office located in Edison, New Jersey when needed. The role is designed for remote fulfillment, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a balance between professional and personal life. However, there may be occasions requiring presence at our Edison, NJ outpatient office for collaborative meetings or client consultations. This flexible arrangement enables you to manage your schedule, optimize your productivity, and cater to clients effectively.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, identifying the root causes of their mental health challenges through thoughtful dialogue and active listening.

Utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused strategies, to foster improvement in patients’ mental well-being.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care through referrals and coordinated treatment efforts.

Stay current with the latest developments in counseling and mental health interventions to ensure patient care remains at the forefront.

You will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from children and adolescents to adults, each facing unique challenges from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. Your expertise will guide individuals who seek improvement in their mental health and emotional resilience, allowing them to lead fulfilling lives. A Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Current LPC license valid in New Jersey is mandatory to practice.

Strong analytical skills to assess and understand complex mental health concerns.

Proficiency in various therapeutic methodologies and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
