Position Title Lecturer - Finance Job Category Academic Staff Employment Type Terminal (Fixed Term) Job Profile Lecturer Job Duties The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a 9-month instructor position in Finance for the academic year 2026-27. The Austin E. Cofrin School of Business values university-level teaching experience, CFA designations, knowledge of and experience using finance and capital market software (for example, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, or FactSet), the ability to teach a variety of classes in the Finance curriculum, engagement in institutional, community, and professional service, and experience working in the world of business. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay’s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. Key Job Responsibilities Teach a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in financial planning and finance. Mentor students in the “transcripts to resumes” program. Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank. Perform institutional and community service. Contribute to ongoing program development within the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business. Participate fully in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business’ AACSB accreditation efforts. Start Date August 24, 2026 Department Cofrin School of Business Compensation Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Required Qualifications Doctorate/ABD status from an institution supporting an AACSB accredited business school, or Master’s Degree in Finance or Business with a specialization in Finance plus 3+ years of relevant professional experience. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. Evidence of engagement in institutional, community, and professional endeavors. Conditions Of Appointment The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to teach a course or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs. Courses will be taught both face-to-face and online (in asynchronous and synchronous formats). The specific courses taught may vary from semester to semester. Position is a full-time, one academic year, Instructional Academic Staff appointment. A pre-employment education check, including verification of academic credentials, will be conducted on the finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).
