Financial Business Advisor (PM&A) - Annuities

Overview As a team member in Finance at Nationwide, a Fortune 100 company with nearly $70 billion in annual sales, you will support financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic analysis for Nationwide’s annuity business. The Advisor works at the intersection of Annuities and Finance, partnering closely with PM&A and business teams to translate results and forecasts into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. Work Location / Hybrid The role is based in Columbus, OH with a minimum of two days in the downtown office. Remote candidates with the required industry skills may also be considered. Key Responsibilities Partner with PM&A to translate annuity results, forecasts, and key drivers into clear insights for leadership. Support development of annuity sales forecasts with Business Development, Sales Distribution and PM&A. Create executive‑ready materials and messaging for senior leadership discussions and forums. Conduct proactive business analysis to address emerging trends impacting the annuity business. Shape communication of key metrics and KPIs, including dashboards and visualizations used by leadership. Serve as the go‑to data expert for business cases, projects, pricing needs and strategic studies. Ideal Qualifications Self‑motivated, highly detail‑oriented problem solver who takes ownership and drives work to completion. Experience in financial reporting, forecasting or analysis. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills. Ability to translate data into clear business insights for non‑technical audiences. Comfortable working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience handling large data sets, complex formulas, data visualization and executive‑ready presentations. Typical Skills and Experiences Undergraduate studies in finance, economics, accounting or statistics; advanced degree desirable. CPA preferred. Eight or more years of financial experience, including analysis, planning, forecasting, actuarial or auditing; insurance industry background desirable. At least three years of project leadership, management or supervisory experience. Reporting Relationships Reports to the Director/Officer. This is an individual‑contributor role. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $97,000.00 – $180,000.00 (depending on experience and qualifications). Medical/dental/vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage.
