Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult patients and occasional pediatric patients in a general Med/Surg unit
• Apply the Nursing Process: conduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage IVs, monitor for adverse reactions, and uphold patient safety protocols
• Collaborate with Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor; participate in rounds and care coordination
• Document care in the Meditech electronic health record; ensure accurate, timely, and compliant charting
• Support discharge planning and patient/family education; address holistic needs across physical, psychosocial, and developmental domains

Requirements

• Current Vermont RN license or multi-state RN license
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to work night shift (7pm–7am) with every-other weekend
• Flu vaccination is required (no exceptions)
