Cybersecurity Specialist

To support a healthcare-focused platform, the remote Cybersecurity Specialist will ensure applications meet FedRAMP High security and compliance requirements during assessment and onboarding, while identifying security gaps and supporting documentation efforts. Key responsibilities: Assess application security posture against FedRAMP High baseline requirements and support ATO documentation efforts Identify cybersecurity gaps and recommend prioritized remediation actions based on findings Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate security findings and guide remediation planning Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline 8+ years of cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environments, with engagement in FedRAMP or RMF processes In-depth knowledge of FedRAMP High security controls and the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process Experience conducting vulnerability management assessments and evaluating continuous monitoring programs Ability to develop and review authorization documentation including SSPs and POA&Ms Virtual Vocations Inc
