Bring your passion for education and individualized support to a rewarding contract position as a paraprofessional near San Jose, CA. This assignment runs from September 2, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering the chance to work directly with a diverse student population from elementary through high school. Whether supporting students one-on-one or assisting in classroom settings, your role fosters academic and social growth for those who need it most.
In this position, you’ll collaborate with teachers and specialists to deliver both general and special education services. Responsibilities may include academic assistance, facilitating smooth transitions between activities, and providing support during lunchtime or breaks. Candidates with experience in ABA—whether in schools, clinics, or in-home environments—will find their skills particularly relevant.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting, or direct ABA-related work
- High school diploma or higher
- Backgrounds in instructional or behavioral support encouraged
- Ability to effectively work with students either one-on-one or supporting a classroom
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support and implement accommodations as required
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with students and staff
- Collaborate with educators to meet students’ academic and behavioral goals
- Support students during transitions, lunch, and throughout the school day
- Adapt to a variety of learner needs, promoting engagement and inclusion
