Facility Maintenance Supervisor

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor UNFI is searching for a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all aspects of warehouse and transportation maintenance throughout our distribution center in Riverside, CA. Responsibilities Supervise vendors and staff to ensure efficient building and grounds operation. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, including timely snow removal. Maintain departmental records, logs, and files. Answer and direct telephone calls and questions. Communicate, coordinate, and build working relationships with external clients, customers, contractors, and officials. Ensure efficient, timely, and accurate completion of facility maintenance functions. Initiate and negotiate bids with contractors. Monitor utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Monitor engineering operations for compliance with safety policies and regulations. Train, advise, and counsel employees to improve performance and productivity. Conduct performance appraisals as assigned. Maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with company personnel and management. Work closely with other departments to maintain schedules and implement changes in operational procedures. Assist in OSHA reviews as requested. Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures. Maintain budgets and future estimates for individual projects. Qualifications Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience. Knowledge of computer applications. Excellent understanding of facility management procedures. Knowledge of budgeting, service contracts, and leasing agreements. One to three years of related experience preferred. Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities. Strong problem‑solving skills. Good communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Good math skills. Proficiency with maintenance equipment.
