Textile Designer, Rug

This role is with a home décor company based in Atlanta, GA, focused on rug design and product development. The Textile Designer will bring experience designing hand woven and/or machine made rugs, and will work across trend research, color, design, and product development for the rug category. This is a hybrid position, with in-office days Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.

Full time, hybrid (in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; remote Monday and Friday).

$70,000 to $100,000 per year.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will meet with sales teams and customers to review ongoing projects and new development, providing design and supporting meeting materials as needed. You will stay current on home décor and rug color, design, and sales trends, and you will communicate directly with overseas manufacturers on the design and product development of new products and product categories. You will work proactively against the development calendar to stay on timeline and move products through the approval process.

Required Qualifications

• Experience designing hand woven and/or machine made rugs
• Experience with trend, color, and design research within the home décor or textile industry
• Experience in product development, including working with manufacturers on new product development
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with sales, customers, and overseas manufacturing partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects against a development calendar and timeline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating directly with overseas manufacturers on textile or rug production
• Background in home décor or broader textile design beyond rugs
