Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities during a full-time maternity leave assignment for the 2026 school year . This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher who is committed to creating an engaging, structured, and supportive learning environment while ensuring students continue making meaningful academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress.

Location: Mission Viejo, CA
Assignment Dates: August 24, 2026 – December 2026
Schedule: Full Time
Caseload
Moderate/Severe Special Education
Qualifications
Active California Education Specialist Credential with Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs authorization.
Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred.
Strong knowledge of IEP implementation, behavior intervention strategies, differentiated instruction, and progress monitoring.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Responsibilities
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students' individualized education programs (IEPs).
Develop and implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance.
Collaborate with instructional assistants, related service providers, and families to support student success.
Foster a structured, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.
