Drafter

We are looking for a motivated Drafter to join our Farris team in Brecksville, Ohio! The Drafter is responsible for creating, modifying and maintaining engineering drawings, models and technical documentation in support of our Pressure Relief Valves. Under moderate supervision, the Drafter applies established engineering and drafting principles to develop detailed product definitions, supports engineering change activities and ensures compliance with customer, regulatory, and company standards. Location: Brecksville, Ohio Salary: $27 - $31/Hourly Benefits Paid Time Off 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing Health and Wellness Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Referral Program Competitive Pay Recognition Employee Stock Purchase Plan Inclusive & Supportive Culture Your Challenge Creates, revises, and maintains detailed engineering drawings, assembly drawings, installation drawings, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation using approved CAD systems. Develops and updates 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering requirements, specifications and design direction. (50%) Verifies drawing accuracy, dimensional integrity, and consistency with engineering requirements prior to release. Participates in design reviews and provides drafting expertise regarding drawing standards, manufacturability, and documentation quality. (30%) Processes routine engineering change requests, engineering change orders and drawing revisions. (15%) Maintains engineering documentation within document control systems. Coordinates cross-functionally to resolve documentation issues. (15%) What You Bring 2 years' experience with CREO. Working knowledge of drafting principles and engineering drawing practices. Understanding of mechanical, electrical, or structural design concepts. Proficiency with CAD software. Ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, schematics and technical requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate documentation.
