Residential Construction Superintendent Part-Time / Project-Based

Job Description

Seeking an experienced residential construction superintendent to oversee a 4,000 sq ft custom home in Manor, TX. Architectural plans are available, and structural engineering is underway.

The initial scope covers site preparation, foundation, framing, and plumbing, electrical and HVAC rough-ins through completed inspections and corrections. There is potential to continue through the remaining construction phases.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries and the construction schedule.

- Make regular site visits, with coverage during critical work and inspections.

- Check work against approved plans and identify issues before work is covered.

- Coordinate with the engineer and inspectors to resolve questions and track corrections.

- Provide brief progress updates, photos and upcoming decisions.

The owner will handle subcontractor contracts, payments and overall budget approval.

Looking for someone with:

- Experience supervising custom residential construction, including foundations, framing and rough-ins.

- Strong plan-reading skills and practical knowledge of trade sequencing.

- Reliable communication and availability for daytime site coordination.

- References from comparable completed projects.

An established Central Texas subcontractor network is a plus. Flexible scheduling is possible, provided you can reliably cover the project’s needs.
