Position Summary:
The Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Sociology will be responsible for providing high-quality,
learner-centered education in topics in Sociology. Primary responsibilities include designing, delivering, and
managing courses across multiple instructional modalities, while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning
environment. Faculty are expected to demonstrate subject matter expertise, employ effective teaching
approaches, and maintain professional standards in student engagement and course management.

Required Qualifications: Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the
following:
Master's degree in Sociology or related field
College-level teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or master's level in Political Science, Public


Policy, Public Administration or related field OR combination of teaching experience and related
professional experience

Communicate effectively through clear verbal and written messaging
Delivers engaging, dynamic classroom instruction
Establishes positive, supportive relationships with students
