Application Deadline Final filing date: 07/14/2026 Position Summary Patton State Hospital’s Human Resources Department is accepting applications for a Permanent, Full‑Time Analyst II in Patient Accounts under the general direction of the Trust Officer. The Analyst II maintains accurate patient financial records by reconciling Keefe Cloud accounting systems and FI$Cal General Ledgers, preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and year‑end financial reports for all patient ledgers, patient savings accounts, and the Patient Benefit Fund (PBF). Reports are prepared for submission to the Department of Finance and are based on data extracted from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. The Analyst II reviews, identifies, analyzes, researches, and reconciles all deposits, disbursements, and adjustments for errors and inconsistencies, processes all withdrawals to patient ledgers, conducts monthly bank reconciliations, analyzes and logs Board of Control Claims, and prepares, summarizes, and reports all canteen and vending invoices. This position requires regular interaction with the patient population to discuss financial information and various Trust‑related documents and demands a high degree of analytical skill in a fast‑paced, complex environment. Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills and responsibility. Handles highly sensitive situations with professionalism. Proficient in modern office methods and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Spanish language skills are desirable but not required. Successful completion of a bilingual Spanish proficiency examination and applicable certification may qualify for a bilingual pay differential in accordance with State policy. Working Conditions Patton State Hospital is a forensic psychiatric institution established in 1893, providing treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure environment. The position requires a background investigation clearance, medical clearance, and satisfactory evidence of prior experience, education, and qualifications as described in the Classification Specification.
