Controller

A well-established and growing company is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and finance function at one of its largest operations. This is a senior, hands-on leadership position with responsibility for a significant business and direct exposure to executive leadership. The company has a strong track record of profitability and continued growth. The Opportunity The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial activities for the site while partnering closely with senior operational and executive leadership. This person will lead a team across accounting, cost accounting, and FP&A and will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, analysis, and business decision-making. This is a hands-on role for a finance leader who is comfortable in a complex operating environment, understands cost accounting, and can move between detailed accounting matters and broader financial strategy. Responsibilities Lead the accounting and finance function for a large operation Manage and develop a team across accounting, cost accounting, and FP&A Oversee monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial modeling Oversee cost accounting, inventory accounting, and related controls Maintain strong internal controls and financial processes Manage the annual financial audit Evaluate capital investments and other financial opportunities Partner with operational leadership on financial performance, cost management, and business decisions Present financial results, forecasts, and analysis to senior leadership Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company reporting requirements Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and controls Qualifications 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Cost accounting experience required CPA strongly preferred Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background Experience with inventory controls and internal controls Experience managing or supporting financial audits Previous leadership experience managing an accounting/finance team Strong analytical and financial modeling skills Ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior leadership Experience with budgeting and forecasting FP&A experience preferred IFRS experience is a plus, but not required Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP is helpful Team The Controller will lead a finance and accounting organization that includes cost accounting, FP&A, accounting management, and additional accounting staff. $180,000–$225,000+ base salary, depending on experience Approximately 25% target bonus Deferred compensation plan with company match Unlimited PTO Medical, dental, and vision benefits Why Consider the Opportunity This role offers ownership of the financial function for a substantial operation within a financially stable and growing organization.
