Internal Service Writer

Join Our Team! Lexus of Merrillville is looking for an experienced and motivated Internal Service Writer to join our service department. This role is responsible for coordinating repair and maintenance needs, communicating with technicians and internal teams, and helping ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Write and manage internal repair orders and service requests.
• Coordinate work between technicians, parts, and service management.
• Review repair needs and ensure work is properly documented.
• Communicate job status, priorities, and additional repair requirements.
• Verify parts, labor, and repair information for accuracy.
• Help prioritize workflow to keep the service department running efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and follow company procedures.
• Support technicians and management with day-to-day service department needs.
• Promote a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service writer, service advisor, or related experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of automotive repair and service operations.
• Comfortable working with computers and service-management software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively with technicians, parts personnel, and management.
