JOB SUMMARY


Works with pharmacist to prepare medications, screen prescriptions, and supply patients with correctly filled medication orders. Performs tasks involved with storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs. Completes associated record keeping and charging activities. Works under the supervision of a pharmacist. Participates in performance improvement activities within Pharmacy and with outside departments to identify and rectify problems.



REQUIREMENTS

• Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent

• Less than 2 years Pharmacy experience preferred Required

• PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Tech

• PTSR - Pharmacy Tech State Registration

• BLS - Basic Life Support

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS


Good customer service skills and work habits are required. Attend CE meetings or accomplish necessary CE to retain technician certification.
