Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Take on a fulfilling long-term substitute opportunity as an Occupational Therapist in a supportive elementary school setting near Minneapolis, MN. In this full-time role following the school calendar, you’ll make a meaningful impact by helping students with disabilities increase their independence and achieve academic success.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct formal and informal evaluations to identify student strengths and needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
• Participate in IEP, parent, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Serve as a resource for Assistive Technology evaluations, recommendations, and use
• Support student access to curriculum and the educational environment through therapeutic interventions
• Take on other responsibilities as assigned

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Current Occupational Therapy license through the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• Experience working in educational or school-based settings preferred
• Background supporting children and students with disabilities
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Assistive Technology tools is a plus
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team

Preferred experience includes:

• School-based occupational therapy practice
• IEP development and implementation
• Assessments and recommendations for Assistive Technology
• Collaboration within special education teams
• Supporting students with a range of disabilities and learning needs
