About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac cath lab License: Active state license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Experience in cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, and hemodynamic monitoring. Knowledge of sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition, and rapid response protocols is essential. Description: The Cath Lab RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. The clinician must be skilled in both diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilizing a variety of advanced technologies. Each clinician is expected to be on call for 7 shifts and take 5 late shifts within a 6-week period. The schedule will include one full weekend of call and one Saturday shift for elective cases during each cycle. Rapid return to the facility within 30 minutes is required when called. The unit serves adult patients with various cardiac conditions, operating multiple procedure rooms daily. Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, heart failure, and valve disorders. Advanced procedures conducted in the lab may involve complex interventions and support from multidisciplinary teams. The clinician will also adhere to strict protocols regarding isolation, emergency medications, and infection prevention. Candidates must have experience with charting systems, specifically Epic, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to patient care excellence and be available for occasional holiday shifts. Only local candidates residing within specified distances will be considered. Compliance with health protocols, including vaccinations, is required.
