Location: University of Denver.
Pay Range: $25.69 – $28.00 per hour (depending on experience and responsibilities).
Employment Type: Part-Time.

The University of Denver is hiring a Retail Food Service Supervisor to help guide our campus retail team through daily operations. This is a working supervisory role —you’ll lead by example, jumping into food prep, barista duties, and guest service while also coordinating shifts and supporting team performance. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy hands-on leadership, this role is for you.  Will assist branded concepts (Starbucks, Qdoba, Einstein Bros Bagels, Dazbog) and some non-branded concepts (Front Porch Cafe, We Proudly Serve Starbucks, Convenience Stores)

What You’ll Do as a Working Supervisor:

You’ll be cross trained in all café functions while taking on leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth, efficient service. Key duties include:

• Shift Leadership: Direct daily operations, assign tasks, and support team coordination.
• Food Prep: Assemble sandwiches, salads, and snacks while maintaining food safety standards.
• Barista Duties: Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and teas with consistency and care.
• Guest Service & Cashiering: Greet guests, assist with orders, and handle transactions accurately.
• Team Support: Train new staff, provide feedback, and help uphold service standards.
• Ordering & Inventory: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage deliveries to ensure product availability.
• General Operations: Restock supplies, maintain cleanliness, and assist with opening/closing procedures.
