Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel) Location Carlsbad, New Mexico Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Floating and call required Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate clinical findings effectively to the care team Administer medications accurately and monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care while adhering to safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with MedHost (EDIS) a plus Must be available for floating assignments and on-call shifts (call requirement: minimum 2 hours prior to shift start) Candidates must be submitted through an agency registered with the State of New Mexico; fingerprinting is required for all New Mexico travelers Preferred Experience / Skills Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or trauma setting Why Join Us Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department with a manageable 4:1 patient ratio 13-week contract with a projected start date offering a defined and structured assignment timeline Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 773703.
