Job Details Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Employment Type: Travel Nurse Job Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Setting: Emergency Department / Level III Trauma Floating: Required Call: Required Job Requirements Active RN license and current nursing credentials Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required NRP preferred Strong critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgment Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly Experience documenting patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement practices Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and prioritize care effectively Administer medications and monitor patients for therapeutic response and side effects Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support safe, efficient patient outcomes Delegate and supervise patient care tasks based on staff competency and patient needs Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and practice improvement Follow established policies, procedures, and quality standards in the Emergency Department Apply now to join this rewarding ER nurse travel assignment in Carlsbad, New Mexico and advance your career in emergency nursing.
