In this dynamic role you will provide exceptional customer service, assist with product selection, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers.

DUTIES

Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and help with merchandise selection. React promptly to all customer concerns with a sense of importance. Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service, including demonstration and explanation of technical features. Take periodic stock counts and participate in inventory activities. Replenish stock and maintain merchandise in a neat, presentable condition. Advise the supervisor or department head of customer requests. Receive cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, and gift cards, give accurate change, and operate the cash register. Maintain sales records, balance the till at the end of shifts, and account for all monies and items sold. Perform price changes for various departments (mark‑downs, mark‑ups) and set company promotions, ensuring proper display and signage. Follow all policies regarding Loss Prevention and be proactive about shrink and the Alert Line. Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements. Required to work weekends. Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Minimum Potential to stock merchandise, assist patrons, and operate a cash register, demonstrated through high school coursework, a GED, or high school diploma. Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds, and to stand for long periods of time. Preferred Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience.
