Kern Community College District Salary: $67.00 hourly Job Type: Temporary – Adjuncts Job Number: FY21-22-00448 Location: CC – ESCC, Bishop/Mammoth, CA Department: Social Science (SSCI) We are seeking part‑time, hourly adjunct instructors in Economics. Applicants will join our rolling faculty pools and can be contacted immediately if a need arises. Selected candidates will have assignments that may include teaching at multiple campus sites, day, evening or weekend classes, and distance learning. Responsibilities Provide instruction in a full range of Economics courses. Teach at various campus sites, including day, evening, weekend, large class, distance learning, and multiple teaching methodologies. Participate in student recruitment and articulation activities. Maintain subject‑matter currency. Develop and revise curriculum. Use computer and multimedia technology to enhance instruction. Assess student learning and program‑level outcomes. Collegially participate in department, college, and discipline‑specific professional activities. Minimum Qualifications Master's in Economics. OR Bachelor's in Economics AND Master's in Business, Business Administration, Business Education, Finance, or Political Science. OR possession of a valid credential authorizing full‑time teaching of Economics at the California Community College level. OR an equivalent qualification.
