Primary Care Medical Assistant needed for a  full-time, temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s occupational health client located in Reno, NV.
Anticipating at least until the end of the year with potential for extension.

The clinic offers primary care type services for employees of a large entertainment company. Must be confident with front and back office responsibilities, including blood draws.

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA) or at minimum , Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma accompanied with transcripts and proof of externship
• Must be comfortable with blood draws/labs
• Positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and must be a team player
• Looking for a responsible, friendly, and helpful employee

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Room patients and vitals
• POC testing and immunizations/injections
• Assist with medical testing such as: EKGs, phlebotomy, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, respiratory treatments, and urine collection/testing
• Maintain employee health records (using EPIC)
• Assist with physicals, sick visits, and well-woman exams
• Medication reconciliation
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Support the Nurses and providers with all aspects of the clinic

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Must be able to consistently work Monday - Friday around 8:00am to 4:30pm (can be flexible on shift times like Monday-Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm instead)
• BLS/CPR certified (hands on courses only - only online not accepted)
• Yearly TB (PPD) or QuantiFERON Gold test
• Strong organizational skills and good at multi-tasking
