You have come to the right place.The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation of flooring and countertop trades on residential construction job sites. This role ensures accurate material tracking, quality workmanship, schedule adherence, and high levels of service to both internal and external customers. The Area Manager operates across multiple builder communities and supports field management teams, builder communication, and jobsite performance.Essential FunctionsLevel I – Field Operations OversightOversee installation activities and field operations across all assigned trades and product linesEnsure construction schedules are followed and milestones are metSupervise multiple builder communitiesServe as the primary point of contact for builder area managers and site leadershipLevel II – Territory and Team ManagementIncludes all Level I responsibilities, plus:Manage and lead a team of field managers across a defined territoryProvide onboarding, training, and ongoing support to new and existing field managersExecute HR responsibilities, including performance feedback and coachingLevel III – Advanced Builder Relations and Problem SolvingIncludes all Level II responsibilities, plus:Maintain strong daily communication with builders and customer representativesResolve jobsite production issues, delays, and schedule conflictsNavigate escalated issues in homeowner-occupied homesRepresent the company in problem-solving discussions with builders and site leadershipSkills and QualificationsLevel I – Entry-Level Management2+ years of experience in residential construction, preferably flooringClean driving record and valid driver's licenseProficiency in tablets, smartphones, and basic business softwareEffective communication skills with builders, crews, and internal teamsBasic math and measurement skills, including square footage and linear calculationsAbility to interpret builder plans, safety procedures, and operational instructionsStrong decision-making, judgment, and adaptability in changing field conditionsConflict resolution and customer service mindsetMust be dependable, responsive, and team-orientedLevel II – Supervisory ExperienceIncludes all Level I qualifications, plus:2–4 years of leadership experience in construction or related fieldDemonstrated experience in managing multiple trades: tile, wood, vinyl, carpet, countertopsStrong skills in identifying and solving field production challengesAbility to support and troubleshoot customer issues in both new and occupied homesLevel III – Senior-Level ManagementIncludes all Level II qualifications, plus:4+ years of multi-trade construction experience in a leadership capacityHigh-level relationship management skills with builder leadership and site teamsAbility to lead strategic territory operations and resolve complex site issuesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed at both residential construction sites and branch office locationsFrequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and navigating active job sitesAbility to sit or stand for extended periods (8+ hours)Occasional lifting, carrying, and use of handheld devices or toolsIf you like working with a growing close knit team and helping home owners design the home of their dreams, come build your career with us!All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, individual with disabilities, veteran status, gender identity or national origin.
