About the Role

The CISO will be responsible for information security governance, compliance, risk management, and controls, with a focus on building and maturing security programs within a multi-entity investment structure. The role demands a hands-on approach and deep expertise in security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and SOC 2 Type II, as well as a strong background in data protection regulations like GDPR and CCPA. Candidates for the CISO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of progressive information security experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior security leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in private equity, asset management, or financial services environments, with a focus on multi-entity and multi-fund structures. Key responsibilities include designing and leading the enterprise-wide Information Security Management System, owning the information security policy framework, and driving the adoption of security certifications. The CISO will also be involved in compliance and regulatory activities, third-party risk management, and incident response planning. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves presenting security posture and risk to executive leadership and institutional investors.
